Athenafest will be a little different in 2008. Athenafest Fair is our fundraiser portion of the event and it was on Friday March 28. Thanks to our highly supportive PTA and parents we still offered many kinds of food and drinks, a teacher goodie giveaway, silent auction, and much more. We had many inflatable activities under the pavilion just like in years past.

Athenafest Showcase is Windsor Park's annual open house and it will be on Thursday May 8, 2008. Every bit of wall and tabletop space is devoted to student work. Because Athenafest Showcase is held in the Spring, it is really a culmination of a year's worth of intellectual endeavor. City dignitaries and school board members are invited along with “Prospective Owls”, our incoming first graders. Windsor Park is a special experience, so we also have many Owl alumni visit during Athenafest evening. Special areas of the school have special exhibits; the Art Room, the Music Room, Technology Lab,  as well as the Imaginarium and Exploratorium.
